Hosta 'Shimmer'

[S-M] Like the constantly moving pattern of light on the bottom of a shallow, tropical ocean, this Don Dean hybrid of 'Dorset Clown' x 'Silver Bay' is hypnotizing! Hosta 'Shimmer' has broad, lightly dimpled leaves that emerge in the spring with wide, creamy-yellow margins circling tranquil, blue centers. The foliage is of excellent substance and looks great throughout the season, holding its piercing blue color well. By late summer, the creamy leaf margins have faded to crisp white, as fertile, pale lavender flowers bloom on short scapes. Hosta 'Shimmer' grows into a flat, compact mound about 9" tall and 26" wide.
