Hosta 'Squash Casserole'
[M-L] When hybridizer Tony Avent crossed 'Hirao Elite' with 'August Moon', little did he know he would create a hosta that would stand the test of time. It's easy to see why Hosta 'Squash Casserole' remains such an enduring favorite in hosta gardens. Bringing unmatched vigor and glowing color, this medium-to-large plant delivers delicious joy from early spring right through fall.
Forming a dense, broad mound that grows 20" high and spreads 46" wide, the gold, oval leaves feature deeply impressed veins and lively, rippled margins. Unlike many yellow hostas that require shade to look their best, Hosta 'Squash Casserole' is a tough performer that will happily tolerate nearly full sun when given adequate moisture.
'Squash Casserole' is an exceptionally fast grower that will develop into a full, impressive specimen in no time!
